About the USDAA Learning Center

The United States Dog Agility Association is the world’s largest, independent canine sports authority, dedicated to promoting the sport of dog agility and rally obedience as recreational, family sports that foster responsible pet ownership.

As a leader in both competitive and educational excellence, USDAA has continued to advance the sport of dog agility both in the United States and abroad—setting standards for the sport that are followed around the globe. USDAA has created the Agility and Rally Learning Center to share the concepts, principles, and standards for excellence in dog agility more broadly than ever before.

Dog agility as a sport traces its roots to Great Britain in the 1970s. It found its way to the United States a decade later with the creation of the United States Dog Agility Association in 1986. Following the lead of the Agility Club of Great Britain, USDAA was first to introduce formalized training for judges in North America in 1988.  Having conducted seminars in USA, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines and China—USDAA offers the preeminent training program for judges today, and USDAA judges are recognized as some of the best in the world.

To support the growth of the sport, USDAA has also conducted more than 100 seminars and training camps since inception to facilitate growth of its local clubs and competitive field in the United States.
